Think Positive Every Day

THINK POSITIVE

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will–
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!

by WALTER D. WINTLE, “The Man Who Thinks He Can.”

I have carried a version of this poem with me (in my purse) for the last twenty years.  The original is posted above, but for the copy in my purse, I did change it a bit … I changed the word “he” to “she” and “man” to “person” of course.

Someone gave this poem to me as inspiration, so now, I pass it on to you.

This poem reminds me to always think positively. It really does makes a difference when you think positively. One positive thought puts a smile on your face spreading warmth over the rest of your being.

The tone of how you talk also changes when you smile. Try smiling when you talk to someone. Notice how different the conversation turns out to be.

Renewed Life near the Halema'uma'u Crater in Hawai'i.

I love how this tree decided to grow not far from the Halema’uma’u volcanic crater. There is nothing stopping it from growing near an active lava area. (You can see the steam vents in my photo.) I love its courage, persistence and perseverance! This tree is definitely on the positive path!

This poem by Mr. Wintle is mentioned by Napoleon Hill in his book, Think and Grow Rich too. His book repeatedly states that what you think becomes reality.

Napoleon Hill states: “The subconscious mind, (the chemical laboratory in which all thought impulses are combined, and made ready for translation into physical reality), makes no distinction between constructive and destructive thought impulses. It works with the material we feed it, through our thought impulses. The subconscious mind will translate into reality a thought driven by FEAR just as readily as it will translate into reality a thought driven by COURAGE, or FAITH.”

One positive thought brings on another, just as a wave spread across the water. What is your positive thought of the day?

If you cannot think of one, start with something easy … like … I am awake. I am alive. I am grateful to have the ability to read these words. I have a mouth in which I can use for a smile. A smile comes to my face when I think of …

In Honor of Louise Hay’s 85th Birthday

In honor of Louise Hay’s 85th birthday…

Louise wrote a book and started her own publishing company—all a few years before she turned 60! That book, You Can Heal Your Life, is now an international bestselling book. Besides being a metaphysical lecturer and teacher, she is also genuinely nice in person. I heard her speak last year (not part of the schedule, so it was to everyone’s delight), the whole crowd listened in complete silence. I will never forget meeting her and will always cherish the signed copy of her latest book.

She is living proof that affirmations can heal.

Enjoy this video reblogged from the Psychic Shack. Thank you Darcy Dee!

Life is The Classroom for Learning – WOW, We Live in a Big School

There is so much out there to learn in life.

Why are we here? What is my life purpose? What is my soul’s journey? I think we all have asked these questions of ourselves at some point in our lives.

Earth, a beautiful classroom. Life is just another class.

Physics and common societal teachings constantly correspond:

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

Do unto others as you would have do unto you

Karma ~ the law that brings back the results of actions to the person performing them

What goes up must come down

We get these lessons from so many angles. It is presented in cartoons, movies, songs, books, etc. Then … you have to be open to understanding the deeper meaning of it all. You may have seen the movie, heard the song or read the book before, but once you are aware there is a deeper message being presented to us – Love one another – then you see and hear it everywhere. It is like an awakening. Then, you start living this way. Performing random acts of kindness, helping someone in need, offering a compliment, etc… it starts to come back to you.

It is like the Law of Attraction. What you put your attention on is magnetically attracted to you. More information on a new subject (you just heard about) is now mentioned on television, heard on the radio, etc. It’s fun and a learning experience all in one. Then, it is easy to see why things are the way they are – you attracted it – the good and the bad.

Using quantum theory: what you expect to happen, happens. That cat comes out of the box alive and well.

I think our life is a – very long and intense – classroom for learning.

What subjects did you choose?

Clues your Past Life is Leaking into your Current Life

Here are clues that one your past lives is leaking into your current life. Read this list and see what resonates with you:

  • An out of the ordinary attraction to certain music, food, styles
  • An unfounded fear (water or flying for example)
  • A fondness to a certain city or country for no apparent reason
  • A recurrent nightmare that you have had since childhood
  • A birthmark
  • Instantly feeling like you knew someone before
  • Déjà vu
  • Loving or loathing a certain time period

A few things may have immediately come to your mind.

Now then … what do you do with this information?

Flying above the Earth ~ somewhere over western USA

You could try regular counseling. That could take years and you may get nowhere. Alternatively, you could try a past life regression. Sometimes only one session is enough to remember that one past lifetime that has trickled into your life now. If it is a fear, you can dispel it. If it is a fondness, you can learn where that came from and no doubt, the time period you are attracted to coincides as well.

For me, I have always loved Paris. I love the language. I love the Eiffel Tower (I have a collection). I also had a very nice life in France once – back in 1795. In that lifetime, however, my corset got the best of me by causing my death. Now that I think about it, I have never tried on a corset is this lifetime. I have looked at them. I like them – they are pretty and sexy. I thought about trying on a corset. I almost did a few times, but each time I wondered, “Why on Earth would someone want to stuff themselves in something so tight?” and did not. By remembering one past lifetime, I understood why I love Paris and why I had this antagonistic view of the corset. It is interesting to learn what makes you tick.

Love… Found at the Beach

There is someone out there for everyone. Here are two random coral rocks I found on the beach in Maui. I found these rocks within hours of each other. Love is everywhere you look.

Dream Day in Paris

I read an article the other day that said everyone should write their own horoscope. I thought, what a nice way to do a little law of attraction work. Some horoscopes are written for a year, month, week or day. This gave me the idea to write about my perfect dream day. I challenge you to write (or even daydream about) your dream day.

(Just letting you know that Sponge Bob’s song “The Best Day Ever” just popped in my mind. I think I listened to that CD one time too many when my kids were younger.)

Today, I am working on the social media aspect for my book: Life is Just Another Class – One Soul’s Journey Through Past Life Regression. (Every author should have a platform across the internet and beyond.) Are you interested in finding out more about my book? You can be one of the first to read Chapter 9 – the story of my lifetime as Howard Duish from the 1600’s. Plus, I include excerpts from seven additional chapters so you can learn how Howard made an impact in my current lifetime. I am writing this book as a tool to help you feel comfortable with remembering your own past lives. Sign up for chapter 9.

My Dream Day:

I wake up just in time to see the sunrise. As I look out the window over Paris, I breathe in the fresh air and smile. I start my day listening to a Deepak Chopra meditation. It is so nice to get in touch with your inner self. I pick up my phone and read my daily random affirmation as I take a walk down Rue Bonaparte to the local patisserie. You can smell the patisserie a block away – they have the best croissants. Yum. Their pastries are always so good. I walk back to my rental and write for a few hours. Then I check and update my social media, read an article on the quantum physics of the Maharishi effect and go over the speech I will be giving later.

Checking the time, I gather my painting supplies and walk out the door. The Louvre is having a special oil painting class today. The focus is on Mary Cassatt’s work and I am really looking forward to it. As I walk by the French Academy of Painting, I make a mental note to see what classes they offer. I arrive at the Louvre just in time. Painting class is fabulous, the smell of oil paint and thinner adds to the ambiance. I am sorry the class is only an hour.

It is 1pm now, just in time for lunch. I stop by one of the street venders and pick up a ham and cheese on baguette sandwich. I eat as I make my way across the bridge over the Seine River. Just as I get to the other side, I hear a concert echoing from a performance nearby. I recognize the sound of the harpsichord among the instruments. My favorite! I stand awhile, taking in the sound of the music. What a nice treat.

IOrange Sunset - Perfect end to a day get back home and check social media again while waiting for my children to Skype me online. I chat with my kids for a while. It is always nice to hear about their day, too bad they could not come. I get ready for tonight’s speech. Tonight I am talking about my book, Life is Just Another Class, taking questions and reading a short experiential meditation to a crowd of about 500. At the end, I announce the opening date for the movie (based on my book) and I am excited to tell the Parisians of the donation I will be making to their local children’s science center. I sign many books and speak to as many guests as possible. I just want everyone to feel comfortable experiencing their own past lives.

I take a short taxi ride back to the rental and relax. As I crawl into bed that evening I say, “What a fabulous day.”

Do You Die in Every Lifetime?

My friend, Laura, asked me this question when I first started writing my book. She had read a few of the chapters and one of the death scenes struck a chord with her. Surprised by the question, I told her; “Yes, I die in each lifetime.” She was reading one of my more difficult lives as Isabella. I am editing this chapter today. Her story is Chapter 10 “Isabella Wright” from my book Life is Just another Class – One Soul’s Journey through Past Life Regression. Isabella was a slave in the late 1600’s. Isabella died a very traumatic death, so painful; it took four years until I remembered anything beyond her death scene.

I cannot come back – reincarnate – if I do not die. It is part of the circle of life on Earth. You live and then you die. Everything dies. Some insects only live for a day. Flowers bloom, die and are reborn through the seeds they leave behind. Even rocks die (in a sense) when they are turned into dust and mud. Nevertheless, even they are reborn as pressure and heat combine to push down on the mud to form it into a new rock thousands of years later.

I do not know why so many people are afraid of death. Maybe we are conditioned into thinking that death is a bad thing. From the human perspective, it is. It is hard to see someone die. It is hard missing them when they are gone. It can be very hard. I had a friend die this week that I loved, respected and admired. She fought a battle with brain cancer and lost.

Even re-experiencing death first-hand through past life regression, it still is not easy when someone dies. It never seems fair from our human perspective.

But I know she is in a better place. I know when she died she probably felt relieved to be free of her cancer. I know she probably hung around to check on the children she left behind. I know she will probably remember there is no time and know that, in moments, her children will be grown and they will join her in Heaven one day. I know she most likely saw her guardian angel and other angels waiting to help her as she left her body behind. I know if she has not already, she will see a beautiful, growing light that she will feel compelled to enter. I know that many loved ones who have passed before her will be waiting in the light to welcome her back into Heaven. I know they will shower her with love as she enters the light. I know that she can come back to check on her loved ones when they think of her.

She may even be standing in spirit behind me now. It certainly feels this way. (I had goose bumps on the back of neck when I wrote these sentences.)

I know all this because I re-experienced all of the above when I remembered many of my past lives. I saw all of this from a spirit point of view.

Our parents warned us from a very young age to be careful with our lives. They told us not to do this or not to do that or else we may die. There is a long list of written and unwritten rules barring us from our supposed demise.

But we really do not die, we are eternal spirits. We are here to learn life lessons to help us grow spiritually. If you listen to Esther Hicks (www.abraham-hicks.com) you will have inevitably heard her say that we are always “alive and alive” and that we are never truly dead.

I have re-experienced many of my past life deaths. I have died many different ways including being drowned, shot, burned and hung. Yet, I am still here.

It still does not make it easy when a friend dies. See you on the other side Grace. Love you.

METAPHYSICAL MOTHERING: Law of Attraction

What can you do the next time your children fight? Use the law of attraction teaching: Life is what you focus upon.

Maybe your kids are calling each other names? Ok. It is normal, once in awhile, for siblings to verbally fight, but it is annoying. You want your kids to get along, love and support one another every day.

Here is an easy solution that you will see surprising results instantly:

Have each child list 5 to 10 reasons why they love each other. If you are really frustrated with them, you could have them list more. I tack on 5 more for each groan at the task – they stop and start writing.

My kids have listed things such as: She has nice hair, I like how she draws, he shows me how to play video games, and he is nice to my friends.

I am telling you it works like magic. I first started toying with this idea of “punishment” on a two hour drive. Much to my dismay their electronics had run out of power only 20 minutes into the ride. Then, bickering and name-calling began – they were fighting over the last electronic that only had a little bit of power left. It made for a very long ride. So, I tried it. They had to take turns saying something nice about each other. By the time I arrived at our destination, they were laughing and getting along so well, it was scary. It was as though I had given them a magic potion of happiness and love. They got along the rest of the day and the whole ride home. I don’t think I would have believed it had I not seen it for myself.

So, they next time you see any two (or more) children bickering or calling names, don’t hesitate to have them start saying nice things about one another. It is more of a challenge when they have to write them down and then read them out loud to the other, but it is not necessary.

I’d love to see this as a punishment for bully’s at school. What a difference it makes to focus on what you like about a person. This way of thinking can help anyone who can’t seem to find something nice about a person. Maybe they have nice hair? Focus on that.

The law of attraction says that what we focus upon, we experience. What do you want in your life?

Angels in Our Life

When my daughter was a toddler, she was sick with a fever. This was not usual for her, as she rarely got sick. We were nervous since fevers can be harsh on a small child. The pediatrician said we could give her acetaminophen, but I did not have any in the medicine cupboard for her weight. My husband nervously agreed to watch our two small children while I went to the grocery store to buy more. I had not been out of the house in days, since we had experienced a lot of snow and ice lately. It was especially frigid this night. I hurried through the store to get what I needed and walked back to the parking lot.

I got into my car and set the bag down. I put the key in the ignition and turned. Only faint clicks were heard from the engine. “No, this can’t be happening now; I have a sick baby at home.” I thought. I sat there a few moments and tried it again… Nothing but clicks. Now what am I supposed to do? My husband is at home with two small children and one has a fever. My mind raced: AAA would take an hour to get here… I have jumper cables in the car… would someone offer to help me jump this… assuming that would work… this late at night… would someone from the store help? I said, “God, please help me.” I put my head on the steering wheel in exasperation.

About a minute later, there was a knock on my car window. I opened the door with what I am sure was a look of disbelief. There was a young man standing there with jumper cables in his hands. He said, “Need help?”

“How did you know?” I said. He said he knew the sound and sensed I would need the help. He had his car next to mine in no time. We hooked up the cables, waited a minute. I tried the key again and my car started right up. He said, “It sounds like you need a new battery.” I concurred and said I would take care of it right away. As he disconnected the cables I started going on about: I didn’t know what I was going to do, I have a sick child at home and didn’t have someone to come right out. He said it was not a problem and he was glad to help.

Then he was gone. It was gone just as fast as he arrived. Maybe he continued his walk into the store. Maybe…

Just maybe he was my angel here to help me when I was in need.

Who has been your angel?

Can I Inspire You?

Have you ever wondered: Can you really heal from re-experiencing a past life? Have you shared a past life with someone from this lifetime before? What does death feel like? What happens immediately after you die? Can you have a near death experience without really dying? Do you watch over your loved ones after death? Do your spirit guides, angels and deceased loved ones greet you when you go into the light? What can be expected from a past life regression?

The answers to these questions and more are conveyed to you through my own deeply personal past life experiences in my book: One Soul’s Journey through Past Life Regression.

After six years of work, I have remembered nearly forty past lives. I share sixteen poignant and sometimes heart wrenching lifetimes in One Soul’s Journey through Past Life Regression. This non-fiction book is the true account of my soul’s journey through life, death and going into the light.

It is my hopes that this book will inspire others to go on their own spiritual journey through their own past life regression.

And who do I hope to inspire?

If my book reached and inspired just 1% of the U.S. population (3 million people) to participate in a past life regression, the implications are vast.

If each person regressed grasps the realization that we are all here on Earth working together to better ourselves (our spirits) then:

  • Relationships with anyone would improve. You would realize you have spent time with them before to learn life lessons.
  • Spirituality would increase. You would see angels, spirit guides, and more.
  • All prejudices could end. You, no doubt, have been all nationalities and colors.
  • Our environment would improve for sake of future incarnations. We would know we are coming here for our next class on Earth again.
  • Health care costs could go down. There is a lot of deep healing (mental and physical) from participating in a past life regression.
  • Death of a loved one could be looked at as an accepted transition knowing they are still with us and could be with us again. You will realize, when you experience a past life death, that you can watch over your own loved ones.

It is unfathomable how much this book could send waves of positive change throughout our society.

Soooo.  Do you know a publisher?

Sometimes I Think I’m Psychic

Did you ever have a psychic experience in your life? Sometimes I think I am psychic and sometimes I don’t. It’s like it comes and goes… or is it really that I am not “listening” to my intuition. Hmmm.

Once, when I was probably only 8 or 10 years old, I had a psychic experience. I think the right term for it is a premonition. I was being watched by my grandparents while my mother was in the hospital giving birth to one of my younger siblings. We had just been picked up from school. It was a sunny afternoon. I remember being in the living room sitting on their carpet, probably doing homework (although, more likely, we were playing checkers).

Then I remember looking at their old corded phone and saying to my Grandmother: “Have you ever just picked up the phone and someone was on the other line… when the phone did not ring?” So, I picked up the receiver (which, I feel the need to clarify this – a phone in the 1970’s  automatically had a dial tone once it was picked up off of the base) and my Dad was on the other line, “Hello. Hello.” The phone never rang and someone WAS there. Wait. Didn’t I just say that!? It really threw me for a loop. Flabbergasted, I handed the phone to my Grandmother. Did that really just happen? I said it and then it happened.

With the new phones now, I never had the automatic pick up with a person there again. Well, unless you count the few times when the phone is ringing and I knew who it was before I saw the caller id. (Or that one time I was thinking of an old friend and then a minute later she called.) Now, I sometimes try to guess who is calling before I check. Just for fun.

I think about this pre-knowing/premonition occurrence the most when I am driving along, minding my own business and suddenly, I feel as though I need to slow down or to be more cautious. Immediately a thought that there may be a deer on the road or a cop car watching for speeding motorists is ahead. Then, there usually is… a deer or a cop… whichever I was just thinking about. I have an 80 percent probability of being right. I have woken up from nap during a long drive just to say to my husband, “slow down” only to see a cop on the side of the road not long afterwards. It is pretty convenient, I have to say.

Have you ever had a psychic experience? I’ll bet you have. We all are born with psychic abilities. Trust your intuition, you will surprise yourself.

Premonition vs. the Law of Attraction

Here’s a quandary. So, if you have premonition (a pre-knowing) of something, and then it happens – are you getting the information beforehand or are you using the law of attraction with the total lack of doubt so fully that it does, in fact, happen? I often wonder this. How do you know? How can you tell? Am I psychic or am I believing so much in the “something that just popped into my head” that I cause it to happen?

Can we ever find this out? I don’t really know. I don’t know if I will really get a good parking space or not, but I always seem to get one since I have been studying and practicing the law of attraction. I don’t necessarily have any positive premonition of a good parking spot. But there one is, waiting for me. If I had to put a percentage on this, it would be about 98 percent now. I expect it to happen.

It is like the old math problem: If A = B and B = C, then A has to = C. Let A be a premonition and B is use of the law of attraction. C will happen. It doesn’t really matter how it happens, it just does. The information is coming sometimes because I think about it on purpose and sometimes because the information just pops into my head.

And sometimes, you still have to do the math (the work) to get the answer (what you want). Either way… it boils down to “thoughts become things.”

What are your thoughts today?

Katy Perry, Litterbugs and the Law of Attraction

I have listened to and learned a lot about “the Secret” – or more commonly: the Law of Attraction. It does work. If you have listened to any of these teachings you will know what I mean when I say: I do get great parking spaces, I get a lot of green lights and I have received unexpected checks.

I have to say that life IS what you make of it.

I have two favorite examples of how the law of attraction has worked for me. I like to use them when I mention the law of attraction or the secret and I get a blank stare. They are fun examples.

Last summer, while reading the paper, there was an article that talked about Pennsylvania’s new litter control program. Pennsylvania sells license plates to help support their “Don’t be a Litterbug” campaign. As soon as I read it, I thought; “They are using ‘litter’ in their campaign and that will only bring more litter under the law of attraction.” If they want to get rid of litter, they need to say something like: “Keep Pennsylvania Clean” or “Neat in PA” – where they are putting the focus on the clean and neat of things. I put the paper down. Reminded myself that this was another example of why I don’t like to read the paper. I would much rather read and hear good, positive news only.

The law of attraction is similar to the law of gravity. If you think it, it will happen. (This is popularly stated as: thoughts become things.) Just as if you drop an apple and it falls due to the law of gravity. It’s the same. It’s a law. (Search Abraham Hicks for more information.)

But, that is not all. The very next day, I noticed a lot more trash blowing and billowing around the sides of the highways and roads as I drove my daughter to acting class. I didn’t remember seeing so much before. More trash the next day. It was on the sides of every road I drove. Okay, this is annoying, people can’t be this disrespectful. I couldn’t help but to notice all the litter.

It took me a few weeks of thinking and focusing on this, then… (A little slow, I know.) I decided to make a concerted effort to only focus on the beautiful trees, grass and flowers along the side of the road. I felt that I was using the law of attraction to attract lots of litter on the road to me, so I had to do something about it. (Thoughts become things… thoughts become things…) The next day, when I drove my daughter to acting class, I barely noticed any litter. Plus, there was a crew of people cleaning up the road in the one section that was the worst. It was like it had disappeared in one day’s time. ONE DAY’S TIME. All I did was decide to put my attention on something positive. I drove to work later and all I could say was, “Shut UP! This really works.” I think I only saw one piece of litter floating around during that hour drive. It was surreal. It was as though I called PennDOT and ordered a massive cleanup of the highways and roads and they listened.

My other favorite example has to do with my daughter. First I have to give you her basic list of very strong loves from her short life so far. She is now 10 and a very girly girl. Since she was little, she always loved the color pink. Her favorite game was Candyland – especially Princess Lolly. (I kept a set of the playing cards to use on her scrapbook pages – she loved it that much.) Her favorite animal is a cat – I don’t even think she has a second favorite animal (we now have two). One of her favorite things to do is dress up in a variety of costumes and dresses. Her absolute favorite thing to do is to draw, which she uses when she draws backdrops and scenery to go with her outfit that day (or that hour). One of her requests is to have a variety of colorful wigs to go with her costumes. And I have to include her love of YouTube. Her first typed word was on YouTube. I’ll bet you can guess it: Kitty. Oh, and she loves, loves, loves to sing and act. She is soooo not afraid to be on a stage.

Now that you know a bit about her… last summer we had the fortunate chance to attend a Katy Perry concert. Katy is very awesome to put it mildly, but the whole time I am sitting there jamming to her music; all I could think about was: this is my daughter’s manifestation of the law of attraction. It was all of her aforementioned “loves” balled up in one nice neat package over the course of one evening. It was stunning. I could not get over the similarities.

Katy’s concert tour (2011) was a multi-media blast of fun. Katy changed her dresses and costumes numerable times and she wore several different wigs to match. I still don’t know how she changed so many times during her Hot and Cold song. The scenery on the stage was a huge Candyland game board with LOTS of pink clouds. Katy had a YouTube-like video playing on large screens in the back of the stage that coordinated with her songs. A little cat was Katy’s little friend in the video. Then at the end of her concert, a person dressed as “Kitty Purry” came out on stage. It was unreal. The whole time all I could think about was how much this concert was meant for my daughter.

UPDATE – I spoke to my daughter about this post later that night. She said, “Hey! You forgot that I love cupcakes and Katy found her happiness in a special cupcake shop in the video at the concert. Remember – I even started the Cupcake Club. And, Katy sold pink cotton candy – and my nick name was Cotton Candy Swirl (when we used to play make-believe)! And, Katy’s concert had pink clouds and pink cats in the concert – I love all those things too!”

I just had to add this update.

What is the law of attraction bringing to you?
